This course is an accelerated course in basic small engine repair. This course is designed to introduce students to the working applications of small engines. Students will learn all aspects of what small engine applications are for as well as what each moving and electrical part of the system does and why it is in place. The goal for each student is for proficiency in diagnosis, as well as repair of any and all systems involved with the workings of such an engine, up to and including take down and rebuild of existing engines for which the application was designed.
Upon successfully completing this course, students will receive a certificate of completion from ETI. Applicants must provide a copy of their high school transcript or GED, and state ID or driver’s license. The cost of the textbook and tools is included in the course cost.
Classes are held Fridays for eight weeks for a total of 50 clock hours. Financial aid is not available for this course. Class start dates are available on our website: www.eticollege.edu.

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS / ATTENDANCE
Each student is expected to attend every class session. In the case of absence, the student should immediately notify the College. Every student assumes the responsibility of completing assigned work whether present or not. The student will be dismissed from the course if he /she misses more than six clock hours of class (one class session) without the hours being made up. This course is a Pass/Fail course with a minimum pass rate of 70%.
