The Facilities Maintenance Technician 8-Month Diploma program will prepare students for entry-level positions in the fields of Facilities Maintenance. Students will learn to install, troubleshoot, problem solve, repair and upgrade electrical and electronic equipment, programmable logic controls (PLC), carpentry, plumbing, fluid power and boiler systems, welding, brazing and soldering and EPA & OSHA industrial safety standards. Students will learn critical thinking and problem solving skills, along with learning about judgment and decision making. The successful graduate can secure positions as Industrial Facilities Maintenance, Field Service Technicians, Industrial Machine Repair, Building Maintenance and Multi-Crafted Service Technician. Students prepare to take EPA 608 CFC Universal Certification, EPA 609 Automotive Certification, Employment Ready Certifications in Green Awareness.
