ETI TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF NILES CDL CLASS B TRUCK DRIVING COURSE
This program is intended for individuals who do not have knowledge or experience in tractor-trailer driving and prepares the student for the Ohio Commercial Driver’s License licensing examination and entry-level employment as a driver in the trucking industry.
Admissions Requirements: The following requirements follow the regulated curriculum mandated by the Ohio Department of Public Safety
- 18 years of age (Ohio) and 21 years of age (Nationwide)
- Have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Obtain a Temporary Commercial Learner Permit
- Obtain proof of Department of Transportation Physical
- Complete a 5-panel drug screen.

Scheduled Class Times Are:
Week 1 – 40 hour Classroom instruction
Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Week 2 – 40 hour Yard instruction
Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Week 3 & 4 -80 Hours Combination Range and Road Training
Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM
The CDL Training course is a 160 clock hour program. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon the successful completion of all requirements of the program. Classes will be held Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM and are held for 5 weeks. All class starting schedules for any program are determined by ETI and are subject to change without notice. This program is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.
Tuition for Class B is $3,691 and includes a $50 nonrefundable registration fee, a 5-Panel DOT Drug Test, and DOT Physical. The course fees do NOT include the following costs: Permit, Background Check.
All enrollees must pass a permit test per Department of Public Safety, a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, a five (5) panel DOT drug test, a school entrance assessment. Applicants are responsible for obtaining a Class A or Class B permit. Applicants must be 18 years of age, provide a high school diploma or GED, a copy of a valid Driver’s License, current Background Check, and Clean Driving record before the start of classes.
